Cups of Courage High Tea: An Afternoon Filled with Elegance, Inspiration, and Hope

Our inaugural Cups of Courage High Tea was a tremendous success, bringing together friends, families, supporters, and community members for an afternoon filled with tea, treats, laughter, and heartfelt generosity in support of children battling cancer.

Guests were welcomed into a beautifully transformed venue, where tables were adorned with delicate lace, fresh flowers, and charming vintage teacups. Each table offered a selection of unique and flavorful teas, creating the perfect atmosphere for guests to relax, connect, and enjoy a traditional high tea.

Adding a touch of grandeur to the afternoon was the beautiful harp music of Tiffany Hansen, whose elegant performance provided the perfect soundtrack for the event. Her music created a warm and enchanting ambiance that made the day feel truly special.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Victoria Dickinson of Sweet Maple Creations for creating beautiful, personalized magnets for our guests. These thoughtful keepsakes served as a wonderful reminder of the day and the important cause behind it.

One of the highlights of the event was our interactive Tea Art Project, where guests contributed their creativity to two unique pieces of artwork. These collaborative creations will continue their journey of giving, with one piece being auctioned at the Run for Childhood Cancer on September 12, 2026 and the second at our A Touch of Gold Gala November 7, 2026.

Of course, no high tea would be complete without delicious treats and exciting prizes. Guests enjoyed an assortment of sweet and savoury delights while participating in raffles, games, and prize draws throughout the afternoon.

Thank you to COBS Bread Deerfoot City for generously providing the delicious scones enjoyed by our guests. Their fresh-baked treats were a wonderful addition to the afternoon tea experience and were enjoyed by everyone in attendance.

A special thank you to Davinico Entertainment for once again capturing the beautiful moments of our Cups of Courage High Tea. Their stunning photography helps us share the joy, connection, and impact of our events with the community. We are truly grateful for their ongoing support and generosity.

Events like this are only possible because of the dedication and passion of our incredible volunteers. We are deeply grateful for their tireless work in planning, organizing, decorating, serving, and ensuring every detail was taken care of. Their commitment helped make the day seamless and memorable for everyone in attendance.

We are thrilled that our very first Cups of Courage High Tea was nearly sold out and received such wonderful community support. The enthusiasm and generosity shown by our guests remind us why we continue our mission of supporting children and families facing childhood cancer.
